大家好！歡迎大家來到中華學苑這個大家庭！感謝我們今年的理事會從暑假時就開始在幫忙學校,沒有這些熱心的義工理事們,很多事情校方也沒辦法進行,在此感謝今年的理事們：理事長錢昭榮，副理事長王元弘，執行秘書張瑞娟，財務理事賴靜穎，家長會理事韓佩臻，活動理事余曉薇，禮券理事劉艾玲，編輯組理事陳菱，業務組理事游弘鈞。學校行政人員有校長孫麗敏，副校長陸明卿，註冊組長林立婧，總務組長黃健生，行政助理王樺。新老師：邱秀莉、李明芳、林瑩姿、席戴黎、鍾佳穎、吳佩珊，回歸的老師有張瓊芳、張雪玲，歡迎他們加入我們的教學行列。教學組長﹕學分組柳靜娟老師、高級組康蕾老師、中級組林猗猗老師、初級組許玉容老師、雙語組羅宇慧老師和幼稚組鄭雅玲老師。謝謝大家的支持！！

Greetings! Welcome to the family of SDCA. I am Amy Sun, your principal this year. I am very excited to introduce to you all the incredible people that is the driving force of our wonderful school this year. From the board, we have Chao-Jung Chien as president, Hung Wang as vice president, Vicky Rogers as secretary, Christine Gibbs as Treasurer, Peggy Han as PTA director, Michelle Ye as Activity director, Ling Chan as Editorial director, James Yu as operation director and Ngai Ling Lau as our Scrips director. We are so lucky to have these passionate parent volunteers’ support. In the office, we have our vice principals Daisy Lu, registrar Lesley Lynn , librarian Jansen Huang and assistant Esther Wang. We have some new teachers joining us, Shirley Chu, Min-Fang Li, Christine Lin, Daili Xi , Chia-Ying Chung and Priscilla Gono, as well as returning teachers Jojo Ni and Sharly Chang joining us this year. Welcome aboard! Our Teaching Team Leaders are: Marian Liu (Credit classes), Lily Kang (higher grade levels), Yiyi Lam (middle grade levels), Joy Hsu (lower grade levels), Ya-Ling Jheng(beginning level), and Maggie Luo (CSL classes). 下週日,09/15/2019校方將在下午2:00PM在Community Hall舉辦學分班說明會，請學分班家長務必撥冗參加。

Credit Class Parent Meeting will take place in the Community Hall at 2:00 pm next week (09/15/2019). All parents of credit class students please make sure you join us for this important meeting.

學分班的學生應儘快到所屬美國高中辦理第二種語言學習申請，否則過期後無法得到中文學分的承認。今年有些學區的申請表格有變化,請學生們要注意。

All students attending credit class should file district required forms for Off-Campus Study with their school before district set deadline (generally end of September) to avoid losing their chance to acquire foreign language credit.

凡就讀美國高中十年級以上的學生，若需要考中文SAT II，請家長在九月底以前，自行上網至collegeboard.com查明考試日期並做網上報名。SAT II一年只舉辦一次，請家長提醒學生切勿錯過報名時間。

For students attending 10th grade and above who wish to take the Chinese SAT II test, please go to www.collegeboard.com to find out testing date and registration information. This test only takes place once a year, so please remember to register before the end of September or you will have to wait until next year.

第三週09/22/2019，1:45 pm在Community Hall有校方家長座談會,將介紹校務及教材,請家長們撥冗參加！

On week 3 (09/22/2019), Conference with Principal will be held in the Community Hall at 1:45 pm. School will introduce school events and text books as well as answering questions from parents.

各班將有自己的親師會,請家長收到老師通知後撥冗參加！

Parents and teacher conference will be held in each classroom. Time will be set by each teacher. Teachers will introduce their own teaching plans and activities for this year. Please make sure to attend the conference when you receive the notice from your teacher(s).

今年普通班及雙語班學費已經包含課本了。學分班學生需要購買教科書，請家長務必記得準備支票，讓貴子弟轉交給班代表或老師。

The textbooks is included in tuition for regular and CSL class students. For credit class students who need to purchase textbooks, please give the check to your room parent or teacher.

學前班教室裡面的兒童遊戲場，只有學前班的小朋友才可以使用，其他學生不得進入。

The playground located in front of the kindergarten/preschool classes is designed for kindergarten/preschool students only. Other students are forbidden to use that facility.

請家長叮嚀學生：不可破壞校園內的花草樹木,也不能隨便移動教室內任何擺設或文具等物品,不可在教室裡吃東西,若有損壞者,學生家長需自行負責賠償,還有請勿丟垃圾在室內垃圾桶裡。

Please instruct your students to be respectful of the campus environment, do not move or touch anything in the classroom, do not eat/drink inside the classroom or use the trash can in the classroom. We appreciate your assistance in this matter.

地主學校給了我們新的資源回收規則,校園將會設置高高的回收桶,只有塑膠及鋁罐可丟入回收桶。所有水瓶裡的水請先到入草地上,飲料類則請先沖洗後再放回收桶。水瓶蓋請丟入普通垃圾桶。紙張類也要回收,但請丟入紙張回收箱。希望每個家長小朋友都能遵守,中華學苑很榮幸能夠長期租用這麼棒的校園,希望我們大家一起來維持,也一起響應環保的運動。愛護地球,人人有責!

La Jolla Country Day School will have tall recycle bins installed on campus this year. They are only for plastic bottles and cans. Partially full water bottles need to be emptied into the garden over plants before recycling. All other bottles and cans must be rinsed w/ water, then put in the tall bins. Please place bottle caps in the trash. No paper goes in these bins. Paper must be put in the blue rectangular paper only recycle bins placed in each classroom. We are grateful to have such a beautiful campus and we ask that everyone helps to keep the campus clean and eco-friendly by following this new recycling policy. Thank you.

請家長務必準時接送學生上下課，上第一冊和以下的孩子們，請家長到教室接孩子回家，並請勿太早到校或太晚來接, 以免發生意外。再次提醒大家不要在學校停車場的路邊停車。我們很幸運可以使用這麼好的場地，不要因為違反這項規定而失去這個使用資格。感謝大家的幫忙與合作。

For the students’ safety, please drop off and pick up your students on a timely matter. For younger students please make the pick up at the classroom location. We appreciate your cooperation.
