1. Scholarship Information
The 2011 Essay Contest Scholarship information from House of China is posted on our website on the "News" page (http://www.sandiegochineseschool.com/new/news.htm), as well as in the blog page (on the right side of the blog, at http://sdcapta.blogspot.com/), and on our school's Facebook page. Please encourage your student to apply.

2. Database Application Assistance Needed
We are in the process of organizing our school database so that it can be accessed and categorized more efficiently. We are in need of assistance in the database application. If you are well trained in database application and can help our school, please contact board president, Michelle Mitchell, as soon as possible. We need any help we can get. Thank you very much for your support.

Dear principal, vice principals, teachers, parents, students, and friends and families of our school, thank you all for making it possible to have such a wonderful New Year Celebration. Happy New Year!

2. Database Application Assistance Needed

4. Board Election
We have 5 vacancies in the Board of Directors in the upcoming year. We are seeking parents to join the board and help our school. Application and flyer will be coming home with your students in the coming week. Please consider this wonderful and rewarding opportunity to make positive change and improvements in our kids' education. Flyer and Application can be downloaded from the website here. For questions please contact any current board members.

Week 18 第十八週

Happy Year of Rabbit
新春開運 鴻"兔"大展

1. New Year Festival this Sunday
Please invite your friends, family, and neighbors to come and celebrate Chinese New Year with us this Sunday at 1:30 pm. The students have prepared wonderful performances, the parents have prepared wonderful lion dance, food, and games. The credit classes will be hosting awesome hands-on cultural activities. Wonderful prizes for raffle and auction are ready to be won and taken home! Please come enjoy this wonderful festivity and support our school. Happy New Year! 2. Help Decorate and Set up for Festival
In order to have a fun and successful festival we need as much help as we can get. If you can come early to school this Sunday please come to the amphitheater area to help set up and decorate our stage. Thank you.

3. Festival safety
Due to festival is open to public and everyone will be busy attend some activities. Please watch your kids especially your little ones. Let's have a enjoyable and safe time.
