1. On 5/5 we will have an Award Ceremony at 4pm at the outdoor amphitheater. Award trophies will be presented to Speech Contest and Poetry Recitation Contest winners. Parents are welcome to cheer on and take photos. 於 5/5 下午 4：00 在露天劇場有校內頒獎典禮.項目包括演講比賽和詩詞朗誦比賽，歡迎家長們來照相。

2. Online pre-registration for 2013-2014 School Year has kicked off on 4/15/13!
Please pay attention to your email box - you have received an invitation email from support@sandiegochineseschool.com for you to start using the registration system; your registration link and step-by-step instructions are provided in that email. Payment still needs to be made by check - payable to SDCA. You can either mail your payment to SDCA-Registration, PO Box 910093, San Diego, CA 92191-0093, or pay at school office on 4/21, 4/28, or 5/5. Registration Team will be in the office collecting payment and helping with online registration for all parents. There will be laptops set up for you to register in the office as well. Pre-registration Information and Reminder will also be emailed to you through Weekly Announcement emails from Teachers. You’ll need to register and make payment by 5/19 to get the $50 registration fee waived. Your attention and cooperation will be highly appreciated.

Reminder for Curbside Drop-off and Pick-up ONLY: 學生上下車接送區提醒
Please park your car at the parking area only. Curbside is for loading and unloading only; please do not park or wait by the curbside. Also do not leave the car unattended. NO EXCEPTION. Thank you for being considerate that other parents also dropping off their children. The curbside right in front of the school building are for parents who are pulling over to drop their children off and then driving away. Cars parked there for a longer time cause us to have a dangerous back up. 請把車停在停車格上。黃線和白線區是接送學生上下車區，不可停車或暫停等人。 請駕駛人不要離開車。沒有例外。 請體諒其他家長也再送他們的孩子上課。感謝家長讓孩子下車後就馬上把車開走或停好在停車格上。

3. We are selling Teacher’s Appreciation Dinner tickets right now. Ticket price is $30/adult & $20/student per ticket. This is a great chance to dine with your teachers and show your appreciation for their hard work this year. The party will take place at China Max Restaurant from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on 5/19 (after the Graduation Ceremony). To purchase tickets, please come to the Teacher’s Office. TA/spouse of teacher, staff/kids under 5 years old can get a discount of $5 off sale price. 4. PTA is collecting gifts for the raffles at the Teacher’s Appreciation Party. We are a non-profit school, so your donation is tax deductible. It is time to check your closet and put those unused gifts to good use. You can drop off your gifts with the volunteer at the Teacher’s Office. Thank you! 5. LOST & FOUND: In case you didn’t know, there is a Lost & Found Box in the Office. If you see anything that belongs to an SDCA student/parent and is left in the classroom or at the play area, please kindly send it in. So far we’ve got 2 children’s jackets, 1 USB flash drive, several folders that were left at the Community Hall after the Poem Recitation Competition. Hopefully all the items will be picked up by their owners. School will recycle or donate all the remaining Lost & Found items after 5/19/13. 失物招領: 辦公室內設有失物招領的紙箱, 目前內有兩件兒童夾克, 一個USB Flash Drive, 幾個詩朗比賽後掉在會場的檔案夾. 請在學期結束前來認領. 所有未被領走的失物, 將於5月19日學校結束後, 做資源回收或捐給慈善機構.

This year is a special 25th Year Anniversary for SDCA. Cover art contest is a great activity to provide a channel for our students to show their artistic interests and talents. LOST & FOUND:  please check with Librarian if you have lost things at school this year.  We had parents turned in hat, water bottle, and a portable cooking stove (found after Volunteer Appreciation Party).  We want to return them to their owners.
