- We are happy to report that we have more than 330 students this year plus two adult classes. We appreciate everyone’s continued support. 在此很高興的宣佈我們今年有超過三百三十名學生，另有成人班兩班。感謝大家持續的支持。
- We have class photos and a fire drill coming up in week 8 (11/3). Please try not to be absent that day. 我們將於第八周(11/3)拍攝班級照片，以及舉行消防演習，請大家盡量不要缺席。
- To support PTA’s Parent Share and Learn club and to continue with this year’s theme of Confucian teachings: “If three of us are walking together, at least one of the other two is good enough to be my teacher“, the principal has also put together a preliminary list of good online resources here. We hope you will find it helpful. We have also shared these resources with the teachers. There will be more to come later. 為響應大朋友俱樂部的活動，發揚孔子「三人行必有我師焉」的理念，我們的校長將目前蒐集到的網路資源整理成一份清單，分享給所有老師與家長，日後亦將陸續增加，希望對您有所助益。

- Parents Share and Learn Club (SLC) The topic for our first SLC event is: “Chinese Learning App, Software, Info Sharing, and Experience Exchange”. Together, we can bring our children’s learning abilities to the NEXT level. Please join this GREAT meeting at SDCA office this week (10/20) at 1:40PM. 大朋友俱樂部第一個活動將在本週(10/20)下午1:40舉辦，主題是 「中文學習apps, 軟體、中文學習資源經驗分享交流會」，我們希望透過這次交流會，能把孩子們的中文學習能力提升到另一個水平。請所有有興趣的家長們一起來SDCA 辦公室，和我們一起學習,分享與暢談您寶貴的經驗。
- Parents Ninja Workout Club (NWC) Last Sunday we had a huge turn out for our Yoga club. Also, our baseball team got great exercise trying to knock down a stuck ball. The picture says it all! Several parents have been inquiring about tennis. If you or your spouse are interested, please contact Jerry and come to the office at 1:40PM. 健人就是腳勤俱樂部 上週日我們的瑜伽組人數大增。而我們的棒球組也很認真的......把卡在網子上的球打下來。有圖有真相！另外，因應要求，若您或您的另一半對網球有興趣，請與Jerry 聯絡，並在1:40PM至辦公室集合。

Children’s Chinese Book Recommendation 中文童書私推薦
書名：小雞逛超市

踏進童書區，我一眼就看見了這本書。粉嫩溫馨暖和的色調，可愛淘氣的黃色小雞，立刻擄獲了孩子跟我的心。敘述文字不多，是適合小小孩閱讀的童話繪本。小雞逛超市的繪圖寫實且細膩，新鮮的蔬果、海鮮、肉品、以及讓小雞們流連忘返的點心區，玩躲貓貓的小雞、串門子的媽媽、躺在地板上哭鬧耍賴的水獺寶寶…活脫脫的超市躍然眼前。此外，生活化的內容，溫馨的家庭互動，廚房裡洗洗切切的雞媽媽，洗泡泡澡的小雞…等等，孩子們就著圖片，可以編織出一段段比書裡文字更豐富、更多采的故事。
