It is wonderful to see you all again at San Diego Chinese Academy, and we would also like to welcome all the new families who are joining this big family for the 2015-16 academic year.   We hope to see all of our children’s desires to learn and experience Chinese culture grow even more this year from all the enrichment activities provided by the school.  Looking forward to meeting new faces in the next few weeks!!

Credit Class parents, please make sure you attend the very important Credit Class Parents’ Meeting from 3:40 to 4:30pm, at Community Hall this Sunday.  

請學分班家長務必參加第一週的學分班說明會。校方將的介紹學分班各項規定與教學規劃。時間 3:40-4:30pm,  地點在Community Hall。

Please arrive at school early and stop by our welcome booth in the office to get all the information you need for class, volunteer schedule as well as PTV activities for this year.   Parents please also bring a check to purchase your student’s textbook from your teacher.  This year we have Amy Sun as Principal, and Victoria Tsui and Celine Wang as Vice-Principals. Welcome back everyone! If you have not registered your kids for this school year, please do so before the first day of school. We do online registration and you can easily register your kids at home instead of waiting in a long line in a hot summer day. After register online, you can bring the registration form and check to school at the office on the first day of school to make your registration fast.

Important reminder for parking lot traffic 停車場使用須知:

Please watch your speed while driving in the parking lot.  For you and our children’s safety, the curbside right in front of the school building is for drop-off and pick-up only. Please park your car in the marked parking spaces.  Please do not park or wait by the curb. No Exception. Your cooperation is much appreciated.   為了您與孩子們的安全，進入停車場請放慢駕駛速度.  提醒您請先把車停在停車格上, 再一同與孩子們前往教室。校方規劃的黃、白線區，僅提供學生上、下車使用，其餘時間， 請勿將您的車子停在此專用道，沒有例外。謝謝您的配合遵守，以做為孩子們的好榜樣。

Additional parking is available at the rear of the school. 學校後側也設有停車場。

Campus Safety 校園安全

Please remind your children to respect all school property and rules.

Do not play with or use the elevator. Elevator is for teacher use only.

請勿使用或玩電梯。電梯僅供老師使用。

Recycling Policy on LJCDS Campus:  資源回收規則

There will be tall recycle bins installed on campus: 校園將會設置高高的回收桶

1.  Only plastic bottles and cans go in these bins  只有塑膠及鋁罐可丟入回收桶

2. Partially full water bottles need to be emptied into the garden over plants.  All other bottles and cans must be rinsed with water, then put in the tall bins. 所有水瓶裡的水請先到入草地上, 飲料類請先沖洗後在丟

3. Bottle caps go in the trash.  水瓶蓋請丟日普通垃圾桶

4. No paper goes in these bins.  請勿將紙張丟入回收桶

5. Paper must be put in the blue paper only recycle bins.  Rectangular ones that look like open plastic boxes with a recycle symbol on the side.  The paper recycle bins are in every classroom.  紙張類也要回收, 但請丟入紙張回收桶

Don’t missed out on our PTA welcome booth on the first day of school, we will be located at office by our registration. We will have the classroom map, student class list, fliers for PTA activities and most importantly, we have SNACKS!!   開學相見歡!  一定要來家長會攤位找我們!   除了有好吃的零食和喝飲料之外,我們有教室地圖可以索取和參考,學生班級一覽表, 文化課程簡介,家長會活動,以及好玩的義工職缺等您來認領!   有任何問題, 也都有熱心的義工媽媽替你解說, 不見不散哦!

PTA events 家長會活動:

Stay tuned for the announcements about out exciting events this year.  We will continue the Parent Exercise Club, Student recess snack and activity, Seminars, Fall Festival, Chinese New Year and many more fun and educational events for your whole family.  有趣的兒童民俗體育活動與家長會聯誼活動將於十月起跑唷,敬請期待!! 學校是一個很友善的大家庭, 而家長會的活動最主要的目的也是讓每個如果您開學前幾週有空,請您留在學校協助您的子女學習, 也可以多和學校的工作人員及家長聊聊唷!

• Reserved gazebo
• Board / PTA booth (volunteer sign up)
• Admin booth (class placement & textbooks, information only, no test or check processing)
• Sand playground, volleyball, soccer, jogging trail, bike lane, basketball courts, tennis courts, swimming pool (additional charge), baseball/softball/soccer fields
• PTA will be selling snacks and drinks for school fundraising and you are welcome to bring your own picnic
• Mingle with the Principal, teachers, and Board members
