Big thank you to those who have volunteered to be the room parent this year.  Your effort and dedication makes a huge difference in your children’s classes.  Our teachers will be able to communicate to all the parents more effectively with your help.

Back to school parents meeting will be held in the community Hall at 2:30PM on 9/28/2014.  Principal Michelle will introduce our school policy, administrative matters, and textbooks as well as answer any questions you may have.  Board members will introduce our school events for this year.  Cultural classes teacher will also be presenting a short demo for the all the parents.

Please watch your speed while driving in the parking lot.  For you and our children’s safety, the curbside right in front of the school building is for drop-off and pick-up only. Please park your car in the marked parking spaces.  Please do not park or wait by the curb. No Exceptions. Your cooperation is much appreciated.   為了您與孩子們的安全，進入停車場請放慢駕駛速度.  提醒您請先把車停在停車格上, 再一同與孩子們前往教室。校方規劃的黃、白線區，僅提供學生上、下車使用，其餘時間， 請勿將您的車子停在此專用道，沒有例外。謝謝您的配合遵守，以做為孩子們的好榜樣。

• Culture classes 文化課程:

Series of Cultural enrichment classes will be provided to children and parents this year led by teachers with strong background in those areas.  Classes including tai chi, beautiful fan dancing and traditional musical instrument Pipa.  More details to follow, don’t miss out!  今年家長會將會推動一系列的文化課程，包括太極拳，優美的功夫扇子, 浪漫的琵琶等等，師資陣容堅強，請勿錯過！

Credit Class parents, please make sure you attend the very important Credit Class Parents’ Meeting from 3:40 to 4:30pm, at Community Hall this Sunday.

Please arrive at school early and stop by our welcome booth to get all the information you need for class, volunteer schedule as well as PTV activities for this year.   Parents please also bring a check to purchase your student’s textbook from your teacher.  This year we have Michelle Mitchell as Principal, and Paolan Dai and Snow Wang as Vice-Principals. • New Recycling Policy on LJCDS Campus:  資源回收規則

There will be tall recycle bins installed on campus: 校園將會設置高高的回收桶

1.  Only plastic bottles and cans go in these bins  只有塑膠及鋁罐可丟入回收桶

2. Partially full water bottles need to be emptied into the garden over plants.  All other bottles and cans must be rinsed with water, then put in the tall bins. 所有水瓶裡的水請先到入草地上, 飲料類請先沖洗後在丟

3. Bottle caps go in the trash.  水瓶蓋請丟日普通垃圾桶

4. No paper goes in these bins.  請勿將紙張丟入回收桶

5. Paper must be put in the blue paper only recycle bins.  Rectangular ones that look like open plastic boxes with a recycle symbol on the side.  The paper recycle bins are in every classroom.  紙張類也要回收, 但請丟入紙張回收桶

The two day Taste of Asia Celebration is the cooperative efforts of the Houses of China, India. Korea and the Philippines along with other community partners.
