1. One of our parents recently shared his experience of Kawasaki Disease (KD). KD is easily misdiagnosed. Both its rarity and the fact that it occurs mostly in Asian boys who are under 5 years old contribute to the general lack of awareness. If your young son experiences high fever, swollen Lymph Node, rashes, red eyes, and/or strawberry tongue at any time, you might want to look into KD. 2. On 2/21/2012 The U.S. Supreme Court decided to hear whether the ground of "ethnicity" college entrance requirement is unconstitutional. The organization 80-20 National Asian American Educational Foundation will file a "friend of the court" legal brief with the Supreme Court, advocating a race neutral and merit-based college admission policy. The organization is calling all parents, especially Asian parents, to support it by casting “yes” on a survey it is conducting that will be filed as part of the legal brief. Please consider registering as a bone marrow donor. There is a lack of Asian-Americans registered and doing so could save lives. 7. Important: Please do NOT leave any valuables in your car unattended. Parents had reported that there were strangers peeking inside parked cars. We don’t have security guard at the parking lot.
