11-17-2019: Cultural Day (Rice Ball Festival)
本週(11/17/2019)本校家長會將舉辦中華學苑文化節活動(湯圓節)，學校請
全校師生吃湯圓。爲響應環保，鼓勵學生帶小碗(或杯子)，湯匙來吃湯圓。
Week 11 (11/17/2019) will be the SDCA Cultural Day (Rice Ball Festival), we will be making
rice balls to celebrate. Due to environmental awareness, we highly encourage students to
bring reusable bowls, cups, and spoons.
本週家長會將舉辦中華學苑文化節活動(假日美食)，是吃湯圓的日子，有甜和鹹
湯圓。這個活動，很受孩子們的歡迎。如果貴子弟對糯米或任何食物過敏的話，
請叮嚀貴子弟不要吃過敏的食物，也請家長陪同來參加。同時，讓老師們知道
貴子弟的過敏物品可以協助校方縮短應變時間.
This week (12/09/2018) will be the SDCA Cultural Day (Rice Ball Festival), we will be
making rice balls to celebrate. This is a PTA activity and it has been open to the entire
school for the last few years. If your child is allergic to glutinous rice and/or any other
food item, please make sure to tell your child not to eat things that he/she is allergic
to and please accompany your child to get the food items. Letting the teacher know
what your child is allergic to may also help to cut down on response time as well.

校刊封面設計比賽已經開始，今年的封面設計主題是「十二生肖的故事」，
截止日期於02/23/2020。請老師們鼓勵學生參加。
Yearbook cover contest has started, the theme this year is “Stories of Chinese Zodiac”.
Final work must be turned in by 02/23/2020 for judging.
下兩週11/24/2019和12/01/2019學校放假，敬祝大家感恩節快樂！！下次上課時間是
12/08/2019。
Next two weeks (11/24/2019 and 12/01/2019) are Thanksgiving break, there will be no school.
The next school date will be 12/08/2019.
學分班從第九週 (11/03/2019) 至第十四週 (01/05/2020) 1:30~5:30上課。現在天黑得快，
請學分班老師務必通知家長們準時接孩子們回家。
The dismissal time for credit class students from week 9 (11/03/2019) to week 14 (01/05/2020)
will be 5:30pm. Please pick up your student on time.
功課輔導的課程開始接受報名，每周日4:40pm to 5:20pm,在 MS101 教室，
請有興趣的家長到辦公室報名。收費以打卡方式，每五次 $40。
The homework assistance program will start soon. Please come to the office to register.
The tutoring time is 4:40pm -5:20pm each Sunday afternoon during the school year.
The room is in MS101. The fee is $40 for 5 times.

We are always in need of teachers. If you have a passion for teaching or know someone
who is interested in teaching, please contact us. Don’t worry if you don’t have
experience, training is available.

If you prepaid scrip when you registered, please come to the office to pick up Scrip
during Scrip sale days.
