Thanks and congratulations to everyone (teachers, parents, students, and all)

for your hard work making our 31st anniversary and lunar new year celebration

a successful event. The beauty of the Chinese culture is once again

demonstrated not only through the program and food, but through the people

as well. Our school continues to grow and progress because of your continual

care and support. The students can see and feel your effort which further

inspires them to continue their learning. Thank you for accompany them in

their journey of learning.

02/03/2019 年級性打字比賽

第19週02/03/2019 開始有打字比賽，是以年級性參加，目的是要加強學生

們認字的能力及中文打字的速度。

Starting week 19 (02/03/2019) we will have Chinese Typing Contest. This is an

in-class competition. The goal is to encourage students to familiarize and

practice typing in Chinese.

02/10/2019 詩詞朗誦比賽報名截止

詩詞朗誦比賽即日起開始報名，詳情請看附件。報名截止日期02/10/2019

比賽日期是03/10/2019 及03/17/2019。我們將採取網絡報名，請家長上網

02/10/2019 校刊封面設計比賽報名截止

校刊封面設計比賽已經開始，今年的封面設計主題是「中國童玩」。請家

長們鼓勵學生參加。比賽規則也會刊登於家長會部落格上.

Yearbook cover contest has started, the theme this year is “Chinese Traditional

Toys”. Final work must be turned in by 02/10/2019 for judging. For detailed

contest information please see attached file.

02/10/2019 學習中文獎勵申請截止

本校為了鼓勵孩子們堅持不斷的學習中文，我們有連續就讀中文6年，9年

，12年的獎勵，如果您的孩子符合條件，請向老師索取申請單。如果是轉

校生，則必須提供外校就讀的證明，例如成績單，獎狀之類的文件證明，

申請日期到02/10/2019截止。詳情請看附件.

To encourage Chinese study, we provide awards to our students who have

continuously studied Chinese for 6, 9, or 12 years. If your child qualifies, please

obtain application form from your teacher. If the previous years of study were

from another Chinese school, proper documentation (transcript, certificates of

completion, etc.) must be submitted along with the application form.

Application deadline is 02/10/2019.

功課輔導的課程開始接受報名，每周日4:40pm to 5:20pm,在 US101 教室，請有興

趣的家長到辦公室報名。收費以打卡方式，每五次 $25

The homework assistance program will start soon. Please come to the office to register and

pay the fee. The fee is $25 for 5 times. The tutoring time is 4:40pm -5:20pm each Sunday

Afternoon during the school year. The room is in US101.

當學校老師是支持子女學中文最好的方式, 家長也是最好的老師來源，假如您有興趣

教中文或認識有興趣的人，請和辦公室聯絡。

We are always in need of teachers. If you have a passion for teaching or know someone who is

interested in teaching, please contact us. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience, training is

available.

請勿使用或玩電梯。電梯僅供老師使用。Do not play with or use the elevator. The elevator is

for teacher use only.

學前班教室裡面的兒童遊戲場，只有學前班的小朋友才可以使用，其他學生不得進入。

The playground located in front of the kindergarten/preschool classes is designed for

kindergarten/preschool students only. Other students are forbidden to use that facility.

一年一度的聖地牙哥國際音樂藝術節將在三月二日星期六晚上7點在

Poway Center for the Performing Arts舉行。這個活動的票每一年都賣完,

是一個不可錯過的活動。請看附件。

San Diego Chinese Art & Cultural Society will be having their annual performance on

Saturday, 03/02/2019 at 7:00 pm at Poway Center for the Performing Arts.

This performance has always sold out in the past, it’s definitely worth seeing.

校慶及農曆新年園遊會

School’s Anniversary and Chinese New Year

請家長儘量自備購物盒,購物袋.

Please bring reusable food containers and/or bags (grocery plastic bags) for carrying food home.

學分一甲將於本週日校慶園遊會當天擺設「中國文化專題」攤位，專題內容包括：孔子、中醫、書法、蠶絲、中國四大發明等等，非常歡迎各位老師鼓勵班上學生來聽。來聽的學生可指定自己有興趣想聽的專題，學分一甲將有專人為您的學生詳細解說並回答問題。同時不管您的學生學了幾年中文，相信中英文俱佳的學分一甲同學，絕對能給您的學生最貼心的服務與介紹，讓您的學生在享受美食之際，也能有一趟豐富心靈的文化洗禮

The Credit 1A class will be held on the day of the school celebration the "Chinese Culture" booth. The topics include: Confucius, Chinese Medicine, Calligraphy, Silk, China's Four Inventions, etc. We welcome all teachers and parents to encourage students to listen. Students who come to listen can specify topics that they are

interested in listening to, and there will be someone to explain and answer questions for your students. No matter how many years that your students have studied Chinese, the students in the Credit 1A will definitely give your students the most detail introduction and explanation, so that your students can have a rich experience about Chinese culture while enjoying the food.

01/27/2019 慶祝31週年校慶及農曆新年會

本週(01/27/2019)慶祝31週年校慶及農曆新年會在室外舉行，請家長們記得幫孩子

們擦防曬油或給孩子們準備帽子及水。請不要把東西放教室裏面，教室會鎖上。

請家長提早30分鐘在1點送孩子們到教室去，老師會點名，帶學生們去露天劇場就

席。如果您來遲了，請直接帶您的孩子到露天劇場各班指定就位區找老師。

請大家一定要準時到，節目才能準時開始，園遊會也才能準時開始。

請家長不要在節目表演完前把學生帶走，園遊會是節目表演完後才開始

This week (01/27/2019) we will celebrate our school’s 31st anniversary and Chinese New

Year, the event will take place outdoors. Please put sunscreen on your children or

provide them with a hat and water. Students don’t need to bring a backpack that day,

we will not be using the classrooms. The classrooms will be locked after the program

starts. Please bring your children 30 minutes early at 1:00 PM to the classroom.

Teachers will be taking the students to the amphitheater at 1:15 pm promptly.

If you are late, please go directly to the assigned seating area at the amphitheater

to meet your teacher. Please be on time so we can start the performance on time,

which will also help us to start our carnival on time. Please stay until the end of the

performance, the carnival will start after that.

01/27/2019 本週上課的活動流程

12:30 - 老師校務會議，

1:00 - 學生在教室跟老師集合, 發紅包給學生們，交待新年園遊會事宜。

1:15 - 老師帶各班到露天劇場(Amphitheater)就席。

1:30 - 節目開始。

2:30 - 園遊會開始。

4:45 - 園遊會結束,收拾打掃 (學分班幫忙)。

5:45 - 學分班下課。

Schedule for this week (01/27/2019):

12:30- weekly faculty meeting

1:00 - students meet teachers at the classroom

1:15 - teachers take class to assigned seating area at the Amphitheater for

roll call, give out red envelopes to students, and make announcement.

1:30 - Performances start.

2:30 - Carnival starts.

4:45 - Carnival ends, clean up (credit class students , please wear school T-Shirt).

5:45 - Credit class ends

基於意外責任之考量, 01/27/2019典禮開始後學校將不再開放教室, 只有辦公室照常

開放至5:30pm, 請各位家長不要遺留任何不屬於地主學校的物品在教室內.

家長,學生, 或家長邀請來同樂的家人及朋友若遺失任何物品, 請恕學校不予負責。

Special Notice for 01/27/2019

a. Please do not leave anything that does not belong to LJCDS in the classrooms this

Sunday. The school plans to lock up all the classrooms after the event begins due to

liability issues.

b. The office will remain open until 5:30pm.

c. The school is NOT responsible for any loss or/and misplacement of any belongings of

Parents, Students, or guests at the event.
